Create your own damage-free picture wall gallery

Follow our step-by step guide to bring your own picture wall ideas to life without causing any damage.

  • Picture wall idea on floor
    Step 1

Lay out all of your frames on the floor and have a play around with the positioning before you hang. You don’t have to just use photos for your gallery; cuttings, postcards, or artwork work just as well.

  • Measuring picture wall idea size
    Step 2

Once you’re happy with your floor layout, measure the width and height of your gallery and then mask out the area to size on your wall space using masking tape.

  • Applying Command picture hanging strips to picture frame
    Step 3

Apply Command™ Picture Hanging Strips to the back of the frames. Make sure that you use the right size strip for the weight of the frame, for example 4 pairs of Large Picture Hanging Strips hold up to 7.2kg!

  • Hanging a picture frame on wall
    Step 4

Starting from the bottom corner, remove the liners from the back of the Command™ Strips and position your first frame onto the wall. Apply firm pressure to the frame with the palms of your hands, making sure the strips are stuck firmly in place.

  • Hanging picture frames on wall
    Step 5

Work your way up from the bottom, adding more frames. If you need to reposition, gently pull the frame away from the wall so that the strips are separated and click back into place.

  • Completed picture wall
    Step 6

Now the strips are all in place, remove the frames from the wall and leave for an hour to allow the strips time to bond fully to the wall. Click back into place and voila you have the perfect wall gallery without a nail in sight!
